Via Risa, snc, Platania

This is the plain of the Gulf of Sant’Eufemia, with the Tyrrhenian coast at Gizzeria Lido and Falerna Marina within about 15 km. The lower slopes of the Calabrian Apennines rise inland, but the immediate setting around the cluster is mainly flat urban and agricultural land around Lamezia Terme. The Amato river plain is part of the local landscape. Lamezia Terme is a city of over 50,000 residents with a commercial centre, station and the region’s main airport. The Norman-Swabian castle above Nicastro is within the municipality. The area is known for transport links, the plain’s agriculture including olive groves and citrus, and access between the Tyrrhenian and the Calabrian interior.
