The cluster is on the Tyrrhenian coast at the Gulf of Sant’Eufemia, with long sandy shoreline and low coastal ground backed inland by the first ridges of the Calabrian Apennines. The Amato river plain lies just to the south and east. The nearest town of size is Lamezia Terme, which has full services, a main railway junction and the region’s principal airport. A few kilometres offshore is the marine area around Capo Suvero, and on the coast nearby is the Torre di Capo Suvero, a historic coastal watchtower. This stretch of coast is known for beaches and steady wind conditions used for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
