Attico in Pianopoli

This area sits on the inland side of the Sant'Eufemia plain, with low hills and cultivated countryside at the foot of the Calabrian Apennines. The Tyrrhenian coast at Gizzeria Lido and the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia are within about 15 km. The Amato river valley is part of the local landscape. Lamezia Terme is the nearest town of size, with rail connections, services and the main airport for this side of Calabria. The Sila mountains are farther away and do not define the immediate surroundings. The area is known mainly for mixed agriculture and for being a corridor between the Tyrrhenian side and inland Calabria.
