The area is a belt of cultivated low hills near the Adriatic, with views toward the coast and inland toward the Abruzzo foothills on clear days. The Sinello valley lies nearby and the Adriatic coast around Vasto and the Punta Aderci stretch is within about 15 km; Punta Aderci is a regional nature reserve with dune, cliff and agricultural coastal scenery. The nearest town of size is Vasto, which has a substantial historic centre, services, a marina and beaches. This part of southern Abruzzo is known for olive groves, vineyards and mixed farming.
