Quadrilocale in Francavilla al Mare

The cluster sits in the lower Pescara valley near the Adriatic coast, in a flat to gently built-up plain crossed by the Pescara River. The coast at Pescara and Francavilla al Mare is within about 15 km, with long urban beaches on the Adriatic. The Maiella massif is visible farther inland and dominates the wider province, but it is outside the immediate 15 km landscape here. Pescara is the nearest town of size and has the full services of a provincial capital, a railway station and the main airport for Abruzzo. This area is known mainly for logistics, retail and light industry around the airport corridor and the edge of the Pescara conurbation.
