The cluster is on the Adriatic coast by the Costa dei Trabocchi, the stretch of shoreline south of Ortona known for trabocchi fishing platforms, small coves and low cliffs alternating with beaches. The Moro River reaches the sea just south of Ortona. Ortona is the nearest town of size, with a port, a walled historic centre on a bluff above the sea, and the Cathedral of San Tommaso. The area is known for vineyards and olive groves on the coastal hills and for Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine. The Maiella massif is inland but beyond the immediate coastal landscape.
