Mansarda in Santa Maria Imbaro

The area lies on the Adriatic side of Abruzzo between the low inland hills and the Costa dei Trabocchi coast on the Adriatic, with beaches and the old fishing trabocchi structures around Fossacesia, Rocca San Giovanni and San Vito Chietino within about 15 km. The Sangro river reaches the sea nearby at Marina di Fossacesia. The nearest town of size is Lanciano, which has a substantial historic centre, cathedral and services. The area is known for olive groves and vineyards on rolling hills close to the coast, and for the Trabocchi coast.
