Trilocale in Diamante

The cluster is on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, on the Riviera dei Cedri. The sea is immediate, with a long waterfront and beaches around the town, and the small island of Isola di Cirella lies just offshore. The coastal strip here is backed at short distance by the first slopes of the Coastal Range, so sea and mountain relief sit close together. The Pollino massif and Pollino National Park are inland but beyond the immediate coastal radius, so they do not define the local setting. The nearest larger centre is Scalea along the same coast, while Paola is the main rail stop farther south on the Tyrrhenian line. Diamante is known for cedar cultivation in this part of Calabria and for its mural-painted old town.
