Abitazione a Trivento (CB)

The area sits in the lower Trigno valley, with cultivated hills and wooded slopes between the inland Molise uplands and the Adriatic side. The Trigno river runs nearby and marks the Molise–Abruzzo boundary in this sector. Within the area is the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Canneto, a Romanesque rural church by the river that is the main historic landmark locally. Trivento is the nearest small town of note inland, with a hilltop historic centre and cathedral; the Adriatic coast around San Salvo and Vasto is farther away and does not define the immediate landscape. The area is known mainly for mixed farming, olive groves and small hill villages of the Trigno hinterland.
