Bilocale in Cetraro

The cluster is on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, with the shoreline and beaches of Bonifati directly in the area. The Coastal Range of western Calabria rises immediately inland, with the lower Tyrrhenian slopes of the Catena Costiera behind the coast. The lower Lao valley and the mountains of the Pollino massif are farther north and visible only in the broader regional setting, not as an immediate local feature. Belvedere Marittimo is the nearest town of some size on this stretch and has a historic centre and marina; Paola, farther south, is the main rail town on this coast. This part of the coast is known for small seaside settlements backed quickly by steep inland hills and for the citron-growing area around the Riviera dei Cedri farther north.
