Quadrilocale in Corigliano-Rossano

The cluster is in the Sibaritide plain, with farmland between the Ionian coast and the first slopes of the Calabrian interior. The Sila massif rises inland and forms the main landscape backdrop in this part of the province; the lower edge of the Sila National Park is within about 15 km to the west in the hills above Rossano. The nearest substantial town is Corigliano-Rossano, which has the historic hill centre of Rossano with major churches and museums, and the ducal castle at Corigliano. Rossano is known for the Codex Purpureus, a UNESCO Memory of the World manuscript kept in the diocesan museum, and for liquorice production in the plain.
