Trilocale in Corigliano-Rossano

The cluster is in the plain and built-up belt between Corigliano and Rossano on the Ionian side of Calabria, with the Sila foothills rising inland. The Ionian coast is a few kilometres away, with long low beaches rather than a cliff shoreline. Inland, the lower valleys run up toward the Sila plateau, and the eastern edge of Sila National Park is within roughly this range from the Rossano side. Rossano is the nearest substantial centre, with a large historic core on a hill and the diocesan museum that holds the Codex Purpureus Rossanensis, a UNESCO Memory of the World manuscript. The wider area is known for citrus and olive cultivation on the plain and hills.
