Via dei Tessali, 8, Terranova da Sibari

The cluster sits on the Sibari plain, with the Pollino massif visible inland and the lower foothills beginning to the east. The Crati river system crosses this part of northern Calabria before reaching the Ionian coast. Pollino National Park lies inland, with the first mountain roads and trailheads reached by driving up toward Castrovillari and the Pollino villages. The nearest town of size is Castrovillari, which has the main hospital, secondary schools, larger shops and the A2 motorway access for this part of the province. Sibari and the plain are known for citrus, olive groves and archaeology linked to the ancient Greek colony.
