Via Aquitania snc, snc, Corigliano-Rossano

The cluster lies in the Ionian coastal plain around the mouth of the Crati, with the Sila foothills inland and the lower slopes of the massif visible farther west. The Ionian Sea coast is close, with long sandy beaches and low flat shoreline around Schiavonea and the Corigliano-Rossano seafront. The Sila National Park begins inland beyond the plain, outside the immediate 15 km landscape. Corigliano-Rossano is a large town and has extensive modern built-up areas, services, shopping and rail connections; the urban cap applies here because the cluster is inside a city above 50,000 residents. The area is known for citrus groves and olive cultivation on the plain and lower hills, and for the historic centres of Corigliano and Rossano, including the ducal castle at Corigliano and the Codex Purpureus of Rossano, which is on UNESCO's Memory of the World register.
