The cluster is on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria with beaches on the Gulf of Sant’Eufemia and the lower slopes of the Coastal Range immediately inland. The mountains of the Catena Costiera rise a short distance behind the coast, with the larger service centre of Paola nearby for rail connections, shops and everyday services. This stretch of coast is known for small seaside settlements backed by steep inland relief and for the historic sanctuary at Paola linked to San Francesco di Paola.
