The cluster is on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, with the shoreline and beaches of Bonifati directly in the area. The Coastal Range of western Calabria rises immediately inland, with the lower Tyrrhenian slopes of the Catena Costiera behind the coast. The lower Lao valley and the mountains of the Pollino massif are farther north and visible only in the broader regional setting, not as an immediate local feature.
