This is the central Po plain between the Adda and Oglio river systems, with flat agricultural land, canals and scattered farmsteads. Crema is the nearest town of size, with a historic centre and services, and Cremona is the larger provincial city for daily and weekly needs. The area is known for intensive farming and for the irrigated plain of Lombardy.
