The area is in the flat farmland of the middle Po plain, between the Adda and Serio river country, with a landscape of fields, irrigation canals and scattered farmsteads. The Adda river corridor is the main nearby natural feature, with the Parco Regionale Adda Sud to the west and south-west of Pandino. Crema is the nearest town of size, with a substantial historic centre and everyday services; Lodi is also close for daily needs. Pandino is known locally for the Castello Visconteo in the town.
