This is the Po plain around the city of Cremona, with flat agricultural land and the Po river close by. Cremona is the nearest town of size and has a substantial historic centre with the Romanesque cathedral, the Torrazzo and violin-making traditions. The area is known for dairy farming and cured meats as well as violin making. Because the cluster is inside the built-up area of a city above 50,000 residents, the urban cap applies.
