Trilocale in Genivolta

This is flat irrigated country in the central Po plain, with fields, canals and scattered farmsteads. The Oglio river runs a few kilometres east of Genivolta, with the river corridor and reserve areas around Soncino and Orzinuovi the main natural feature nearby. Soncino is the nearest small town of note, with a preserved walled centre and the Rocca Sforzesca. Crema is the nearest larger town, with services, a historic centre and rail links. The area is known for intensive agriculture and for the network of irrigation channels of the lower Lombard plain.
