The area lies on the Ionian side of Calabria, with low hills falling toward the coast and broad views over the coastal plain. The Ionian Sea is a few kilometres away, with the shoreline around Torretta di Crucoli and the marina serving the local coast. The Neto valley and its cultivated plain are part of the wider landscape to the south. The nearest larger town is Cariati to the north for everyday coastal services, while Crotone is the main city in the province with a port, hospital and wider shopping and administrative functions. This stretch of coast is known for olive groves, vineyards and clementine cultivation, and Crucoli itself is known in Calabria for preserved anchovies.
