Bilocale in Crotone

This is on the Ionian coast at the Gulf of Taranto, with long sandy shoreline around the city and the Capo Colonna headland just to the south. The Capo Colonna area is part of the Capo Rizzuto Marine Protected Area, which covers a stretch of coast south of Crotone. Crotone is the main town here and has a port, seafront, services and a documented old core with the hilltop fortress. The Capo Colonna archaeological area, with the remaining column of the Hera Lacinia sanctuary, is just outside the city. This stretch of coast is known for its beaches, marine waters and Magna Graecia archaeology.
