Quadrilocale in Isola di Capo Rizzuto

The cluster is on the Ionian coast of Calabria, in the area of the Capo Rizzuto marine reserve, with low cliffs, small coves and long sandy beaches around Capo Piccolo, Le Castella and Punta delle Castella. The protected area here is the Area Marina Protetta Capo Rizzuto, one of the larger marine protected areas in Italy. Le Castella, the main nearby coastal centre, has the Aragonese fortress on an islet linked to the shore. Crotone is the nearest town of size, with port services, shops, schools and a hospital. This stretch of coast is known for clear water, seaside tourism and marine archaeology.
