The cluster is in the upper Neto valley on the Sila foothills, with wooded hills and agricultural uplands typical of the inland Crotone province. The Neto river system is the main physical feature of this area. The Sila National Park lies to the west in the plateau zone, but not in the immediate surroundings of Cerenzia. The nearest larger centre for services is Crotone on the coast; inland, this is a sparsely populated rural area of small hill towns. The area is known mainly for olive groves, upland farming and forested interior landscapes rather than for a single landmark within the immediate radius.
