The Ligurian Alps rise immediately around the village, with the Monregalese valleys and the higher slopes of the Marguareis massif close by. The Parco del Marguareis lies within this area, covering the karst mountains around the upper valleys. The nearest ski lifts are at Prato Nevoso and Artesina, a few minutes’ drive uphill, with the Mondolè Ski area spread across the slopes above the valley. Mondovì is the nearest town of size, with a historic upper town, services and rail connections. The area is known for mountain pasture, caves and karst terrain, and for winter sports on the Mondolè slopes.
