Bifamiliare ai piedi del monviso, via barge, Paesana

The cluster sits in the upper Po valley at the foot of Monviso, with the Cottian Alps closing the western horizon. The Po rises above Paesana on the slopes below Monviso, and Crissolo with the source area is within the local mountain basin. The Monviso area is protected by the Parco del Monviso and connects to the cross-border Monviso biosphere area. The nearest ski lifts are the small facilities around Crissolo on the Monviso side, roughly 15 minutes by road from Paesana. Saluzzo is the nearest larger town, about half an hour away, with a substantial historic centre and everyday services. The area is known for mountain pasture landscapes, stone hamlets in the valley side villages, and fruit growing on the lower valley floor, especially the local chestnut and apple zone around Paesana.
