Bilocale

The area sits on the flat plain between Cuneo and Turin, with the Alpine arc visible to the west and south-west, especially the Maritime and Cottian Alps on clear days. The Maira and Varaita valleys begin farther south-west, but around the cluster the immediate landscape is mainly cultivated plain crossed by minor canals and roads. Saluzzo is the nearest historic town of note, with a substantial old centre on the hill below Monviso, just outside the 15 km radius. Savigliano itself is known locally for its arcaded centre and for being part of the agricultural plain of southern Piedmont.
