The cluster is in the Roero hills, with mixed vineyards, orchards and wooded ridges between the Tanaro plain and the Langhe. The Tanaro river runs nearby. The nearest larger centre is Bra, which has a substantial historic centre and full daily services. Alba is also close enough to matter for shopping and work, and is one of the main towns of the Langhe wine area. This area is known for wine, especially Roero and nearby Barolo and Barbaresco zones, and for food culture linked to Bra sausage and the Slow Food movement based in nearby Pollenzo. Pollenzo has the UNESCO serial site of the Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato.
