Trilocale nel Parco valle Pesio

The Maritime Alps rise immediately above the area, with the Pesio valley running south from the town into the mountain basin below the Marguareis massif. The Pesio stream is the local river. The Parco naturale del Marguareis lies directly south of Chiusa di Pesio and covers much of the upper valley, with limestone peaks, forests and karst plateaus inside the 15 km radius. The nearest ski slopes are the small lifts at Rucas and the larger Limone Piemonte area, both roughly within an hour by road, but they are outside the immediate landscape. Cuneo is the nearest town of size, with full services and a substantial historic centre. The Certosa di Pesio, a former Carthusian monastery in the upper valley, is one of the main landmarks of the area. This part of the province is known for Alpine valleys, chestnut woods, pasture and mountain walking.
