Chiusa di Pesio: locale al terzo piano

The cluster sits at the foot of the Ligurian Alps, with the upper Pesio valley and the Marguareis massif close by. The Pesio stream runs through the valley here. The Parco Naturale del Marguareis begins just above the town and covers the high limestone mountains and forests of the valley head. The Certosa di Pesio lies a few kilometres up the valley. The nearest skiing is the small lift area at Rucas and the larger Mondolè ski areas around Frabosa and Artesina, reached in roughly 35–50 minutes by road. Cuneo is the nearest town of size, with full services, rail connections and a substantial historic centre. The area is known for mountain valleys, chestnut woods, pasture and access to hiking in the Marguareis karst area.
