Fossano – borgo salice, corso trento 24

The area sits on the plain between the Stura di Demonte and Tanaro river systems, with the Maritime and Cottian Alps visible to the south and west. The Langhe hills begin not far to the east, but the immediate 15 km landscape around Fossano is mainly cultivated plain with scattered farmsteads and small settlements. Fossano itself is the nearest town of size and has a substantial historic centre with the Castello dei Principi d'Acaja and arcaded streets. Within this radius the area is known above all for mixed agriculture and for being a service centre between the Cuneo plain and the first hills.
