The cluster is in the Ligurian Alps and Maritime Alps foothill zone, in the upper Tanaro valley system with wooded ridges and small agricultural clearings around the village. The Tanaro valley is the main landscape feature of this part of southern Cuneo, and the Ligurian Alps rise to the south within the local horizon. The area is close to the Alta Valle Tanaro and the margins of Parco del Marguareis, one of the main protected mountain areas in southern Piemonte. Ceva is the nearest town of some size for daily services, rail links and supermarkets. This part of southern Piemonte is known for hazelnuts, mixed woodland, stone villages and road access toward the mountain passes into Liguria.
