Bilocale in Casteldelfino

The cluster is in the upper Val Varaita under the Cottian Alps, with high ridges and side valleys around Casteldelfino. The Varaita river runs through the valley floor. Much of the surrounding high ground falls within the Parco del Monviso. Pontechianale and the head of the valley are nearby, with the alpine basin below Monviso among the main landscape features of this part of the province. The nearest ski terrain is the small area at Pontechianale, a short drive up-valley, while larger lifts are farther away around Sampeyre and in the neighbouring valleys. Saluzzo is the nearest larger town used for services down-valley. The area is known for alpine pasture, stone hamlets and Occitan culture in the Varaita valley.
