Sommariva del Bosco: #appartamento con terrazzo

The area sits on the plain and low rolling farmland between the Roero and the approach to the Cuneo plain. The Tanaro is the main river of this part of the province, flowing north of here near Bra and Alba. Bra is the nearest town of size, with rail connections, services and a substantial historic centre. Within about 15 km the most distinct landscape feature is the edge of the Roero hills around Pocapaglia and Sommariva Perno, with vineyards, orchards and wooded ravines. The Langhe wine hills begin farther east beyond this radius, so they do not define the immediate setting. This part of Piemonte is known for mixed farming and, a little farther out toward Bra and Alba, for wine and food culture.
