The area sits in the interior hills of central-eastern Sicily, with cultivated ridges and the valley of the Simeto nearby. Lake Pozzillo lies close to Regalbuto and is one of the main landscape features of this part of inland Enna and Catania provinces. Mount Etna is visible on clear days from parts of the area but it is outside the immediate 15 km landscape and does not define the setting around the town. The nearest larger town of size is Catenanuova for rail access, while Enna and Catania provide the main higher-order services farther away. This area is known for grain fields, olive groves and inland Sicilian hill-country agriculture.
