Contrada Zotta Papera o Raisa, snc, Catenanuova

This is inland central-eastern Sicily in the Simeto valley, with broad cultivated low hills and open plain around the town. The Simeto River runs nearby and is the main named landscape feature within the area. The nearest larger town is Enna, which has the provincial services and a historic hilltop centre. Catania is farther away and matters more for work, shopping and transport than for the immediate landscape. The area is known mainly for grain farming and the hot interior plain of this part of Sicily.
