Quadrilocale in Ferrara

This is in the flat lower Po plain, with reclaimed agricultural land, canals and drainage works around the city, and the Po di Volano and the Po delta area lying to the east. Ferrara itself is a major provincial city with a large Renaissance and medieval centre, the Estense Castle, city walls and full urban services. The historic centre of Ferrara is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the Renaissance city and the Po delta cultural landscape. The wider area is known for irrigated agriculture and for its relation to the Po Delta.
