This is the Po plain around the Valli di Comacchio and the wetlands of the Parco del Delta del Po lie within about 15 km to the east. The Reno river runs through the area. Ferrara is the nearest major city and has a large historic centre with major services. The area is known for reclaimed lowland, canals, rice fields and fishing valleys.
