This is the eastern Po plain, with reclaimed agricultural land, canals and drainage works around the lower course of the Po di Volano. The Po Delta Regional Park lies nearby, with lagoon, wetlands and pinewoods toward the coast. Comacchio is the nearest town of note, with canals, services and links to the lagoon area. The area is known for eel fisheries around Comacchio and for Delta wetlands and birdlife.
