The Bormida river system is the main water landscape in the area. Acqui Terme is the nearest town of size, with a substantial historic centre and thermal baths. The wider area is known for wine hills in Monferrato and for the spa town of Acqui Terme, but the immediate surroundings of Sezzadio are mainly ordinary rural valley landscape.
