Porotto

This is the flat lower Po plain around Ferrara, with the Po di Volano and the Po river branches shaping the area. The Parco del Delta del Po lies within reach to the east, with wetlands, reclaimed farmland and pine woods in the delta zone. Ferrara is the nearest city of size and has a large historic centre with major Renaissance monuments; it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is known for irrigated agriculture and for the Po delta landscape rather than for relief.
