Trilocale in Poggio Renatico

This is the flat lower Po plain around Ferrara, with the Po di Volano and other reclaimed-water channels shaping the landscape. The Po Delta Regional Park lies within reach to the east, but the cluster is inside the built-up area of Ferrara. Ferrara is a major provincial city with a large brick historic centre, the Este Castle, the cathedral and extensive Renaissance walls. Ferrara has UNESCO status for its Renaissance urban planning and for the cultural landscape linked to the Po Delta. The area is known for irrigated agriculture and reclaimed lowland.
