Trilocale in Firenzuola

The cluster is in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The Santerno valley runs through this area, and the regional border ridge is close by. The Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna National Park lies to the east beyond the local valleys, but not within the immediate surroundings. The nearest ski area is on Monte Faggiola above the Firenzuola area, with larger Apennine skiing around the Mugello and Monte Cimone ranges at longer driving distance. Firenzuola is the nearest town of size, with basic services and a substantial historic centre rebuilt after the war. The area is known for mountain pasture, woodland, sandstone landscapes and the Pietramala zone on the Apennine pass roads.
