Asta a Lastra a Signa (FI) Via delle Macine

The cluster lies on the lower hills west of Florence, in a mixed landscape of vineyards, olive groves and small wooded ridges above the Arno plain. The Arno runs nearby, and the area is crossed by the minor valleys and hills that link Florence with the Val di Pesa and the Chianti side. The nearest town of size is Florence, with the full range of city services, major museums and rail connections. Within about 15 km the most notable historic site is the Villa medicea di Poggio a Caiano, part of the UNESCO Medici Villas and Gardens in Tuscany. The area is known for wine and olive oil production on the Florentine hills.
