This is the Tavoliere plain, with large-scale arable farmland around the settlement. The area lies between the lower Ofanto basin to the south and the open plain running toward Cerignola and Foggia, with no major relief within the immediate surroundings. Cerignola is the nearest larger town and provides the main services, shops and rail connections for this part of the plain. This part of northern Puglia is known for grain farming, tomatoes and olive cultivation.
