The cluster is on the Gargano promontory on the Adriatic coast. The coast here alternates between low rocky stretches and small beaches, and the sea is part of daily life. The Gargano National Park covers much of the inland area nearby. The nearest larger centres for services are Vico del Gargano and San Menaio in the same coastal belt, while Vieste is the main larger resort town on the promontory with a full service base. This part of Gargano is known for citrus groves, especially oranges and lemons, and for the wooded interior of the promontory.
