Pietramontecorvino has a substantial medieval centre with a Norman tower and is part of I Borghi più belli d'Italia. Lucera is the nearest larger historic town, with services, a cathedral and the Swabian-Angevin fortress. This inland area is known for grain farming, olive groves and hill villages rather than for a single dominant natural feature.
