This is the Tavoliere plain, with broad agricultural land around the town and no major relief within the immediate area. The Ofanto river runs to the south of this part of the plain. Cerignola is the nearest larger town, with a full range of shops and services. This area is known for large-scale cereal farming, tomatoes, olives and other intensive agriculture of the Capitanata plain.
