The nearest substantial named landscape is the Gargano promontory to the northeast, but it lies beyond the immediate 15 km surroundings and does not define the area around the cluster. Foggia is the nearest city and has the full services of a provincial capital, a rail hub and an airport. The area is known for large-scale cereal farming and tomato production.
