Mansarda in Ischitella

The cluster is on the Gargano, between the Adriatic coast and Lake Varano. The Gargano National Park covers this area. Lake Varano is the main landscape feature here, with its long lagoon basin separated from the sea by a narrow strip of land and pine woods. The Adriatic coast is immediately nearby, with long low shores and the wetlands of the Varano and Lesina sector. Rodi Garganico is the nearest coastal town of size, with a port and services, and San Nicandro Garganico is the main inland service centre nearby. This part of northern Gargano is known for lagoons, fishing, citrus around the coast, and pine woods.
